Four Tier Chinese Porcelain Stacking Box – Famille Rose Decoration
Qing Dynasty, 19th Century

A charming and finely decorated Chinese porcelain stacking box, dating from the 19th century Qing period. This attractive piece is formed from four circular tiers of equal shape and size, which stack neatly together to create an elegant cylindrical box.

Each tier is nicely hand-painted in delicate Famille Rose colours, depicting a traditional Chinese scene with butterflies and Chinese figures dressed in traditional attire. The decoration is lively and well detailed, with soft enamels and pleasing balance, typical of quality porcelain from this period.

The box remains in excellent antique condition, with no chips or cracks, which is increasingly rare for a piece of this age. Both decorative and functional, it would have been used for storing small personal items and today makes a lovely display piece.
